F/22 Blur is a duet that explores the delicate interplay between clarity and motion, inspired by the evocative power of long exposure photography. Drawing from the photographic setting of f/22, a narrow aperture that allows for extended exposure, this work becomes a meditation on time, presence, and the fleeting nature of movement. In my experience behind the lens as well as in the studio, I’ve found that long exposure does more than document motion. It reveals something deeper within it. It reveals a hidden layer: the trace, the spirit, the residue of a gesture. It captures not just what moved, but how it moved, turning brief moments into ghostly impressions. F/22 Blur translates that visual phenomenon into the language of the body. The duet unfolds like a living photograph. Sharp, sculptural stillness gives way to fluid, overlapping phrases. There is a constant tension between form and freedom. The dancers mirror the camera’s process. One moment is precise and clearly defined, the next dissolves into an abstraction of limbs and lines.
