George Liang is a versatile and forward-thinking artist whose work bridges performance, choreography, and cultural engagement. George brings an inclusive and innovative voice to UK dance. In 2025, he was promoted to Coryphée at Northern Ballet, recognising his leadership and artistry within the company. Beyond performing, he is passionate about choreography and storytelling through movement. In February 2025, commissioned by Northern Ballet, George created Hansel & Gretel, a children’s ballet that toured across the UK, introducing young audiences to the magic of ballet. His 2024 collaboration with an ability dance artist, Sky Above, Voices Within, explored resilience and expression and was performed in 2025 at the Royal Opera & Ballet in their International Draftworks. His work Out of Breath was presented at the Royal Opera House’s Festival of New Choreography. George also founded Project Sauté, engaging Mandarin-speaking audiences across Taiwan, Singapore, and Malaysia with ballet, fostering cultural exchange and access.
